Hostel in the News!

Now that demolition and construction have begun, Richmonders are nothing short of excited about the new hostel! We’re more than grateful for all of the attention and interest that the town has shown us. Here’s a link to the Style Weekly article posted in September along with a few photos from the Breaking New Ground ceremony. Hosteling International’s CEO Russ Hedge was in attendance along with local supporters including Jim Ukrop and Doug Pick.

Please join us for our last Vicarious Travelers Series of the season on Saturday, March 31, at 3:30 PM.
Alice Baird will be sharing slides from her trip to Tanzania.  Allie is a co-worker at DCR who works in our Natural Heritage Division.  She has a special interest in flora and fauna, which will be reflected in her presentation.  She is also an accomplished photographer.  I know you will enjoy her presentation, and our refreshments.
Hope to see you (and a friend) at the main branch of the Richmond Public Library this Saturday afternoon!
